Jurisdiction note (AU)

Australia — called a "Letter of Demand." State the exact amount, the basis of the debt, and a deadline (commonly 14–28 days). It is often a prerequisite to filing in a state civil tribunal (e.g., NCAT, VCAT).

Legal note

In the US, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act governs written warranties; many states add implied-warranty protections. The UK/AU consumer laws give statutory repair/replace/refund rights that can exceed the maker’s warranty.
